For the first time in its long and illustrious 63 year history, Vanguard Records has placed two albums in the Top 10 of The Billboard 200. John Fogerty’s star-studded Wrote a Song for Everyone debuted at #3 week of June 3rd, marking the highest charting in the Hall of Famer’s 45-year career—and that includes Creedence Clearwater Revival releases as well as his solo albums. The album also garnered a rare five-star review in Rolling Stone. The following week, renowned smart-pop group Barenaked Ladies—who like Fogerty, are new to Vanguard—made a #10 bow with Grinning Streak. It’s their first visit to the Top 10 in exactly 10 years.

This historic occurrence came right on the heels of Aussie band Clairy Browne & the Bangin’ Rackettes’ #5 debut on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart week of May 28th for their first U.S. release, Baby Caught the Bus. The band, which has already created a massive buzz in its native Australia, also topped the iTunes R&B albums chart and rocketed into the top 15 on iTunes overall, as well as hitting #2 on Amazon’s “Movers & Shakers” and #7 at Amazon overall.

Among Vanguard’s stellar line-up of upcoming albums are Matt Nathanson’s eagerly awaited ninth studio album Last of the Great Pretenders (July 16) - his previous release, Modern Love, debuted at #17 on the Billboard Top 200; songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Lee DeWyze’s Frames (August 20); and pedigreed newcomer Carly Ritter’s self-titled debut (August 27th) followed by the all-star benefit album Sweet Relief III: Pennies From Heaven, (September 3) produced by Sheldon Gomberg and featuring specially recorded tracks from the likes of Ben Harper, Jackson Browne, Ron Sexsmith and Rickie Lee Jones.

Vanguard Records, part of the Welk Music Group, is one of the most renowned independent labels. Vanguard has been the home of prestige artists since its founding in 1950. Under the direction of the Welk Music Group – run by president Kevin Welk – the label’s stylistically diverse present-day roster is carrying on the rich Vanguard legacy with comprehensive creativity and class. Its selected roster of quality artists includes Chris Isaak, Merle Haggard, Rodney Crowell, Greg Laswell, The Living Sisters, Marc Broussard, Trevor Hall and the legendary Levon Helm. Further expanding the roster are distributed artists like The Indigo Girls and the great George Jones.

The Welk Music Group encompasses three labels: Vanguard Records, Sugar Hill Records and Ranwood Records. WMG is distributed by Universal Music Group Distribution.

NORTH AMERICAN TOUR FOLLOWS RELEASE OF NEW ALBUM
LAST OF THE GREAT PRETENDERS OUT ON JULY 16TH

Matt Nathanson has announced his North American tour with special guest Joshua Radin beginning this fall. The string of dates, kicking off on September 20th in Portland, OR at the Crystal Ballroom includes stops in Los Angeles, CA at the Wiltern Theater October 3rd; Oakland, CA at the Fox Theater October 4th and New York’s Terminal 5 on October 30. Tour dates listed below with additional dates to be announced soon. Visit www.mattnathanson.com for updates. The tour follows the July 16th release of Matt’s highly anticipated new album, Last of the Great Pretenders. The new album’s first single “Mission Bells” is already #10 on the Triple A radio chart. The Hitchcock inspired video for “Mission Bells” can be viewed here. Last of the Great Pretenders is the follow up release to 2011’s Modern Love which debuted at #17 on The Billboard 200.

Produced by Mike Viola and Jake Sinclair, Last of the Great Pretenders marks a dramatic progression for the acclaimed artist, who has created a richer and deeper work both musically and lyrically than any of his previous LPs – and that’s saying something considering the already rarefied level of his writing and performing. Songs like “Earthquake Weather,” “Kill the Lights,” “Kinks Shirt,” “Sunday New York Times” and first single “Mission Bells” are precisely cinematic as Nathanson stirs the material with deftly placed pop-cultural references and vivid details drawn from his keen observations of everyday life, while topping each song with an emphatic and seductive chorus hook.

Based in San Francisco, Matt Nathanson has evolved into one of the premier songwriters and dynamic performers on the music scene today. His 2007 album Some Mad Hope (his first for Vanguard) yielded the smash single “Come on Get Higher,” which has sold more than 2 million copies to date, as well as the subsequent hits “Car Crash,” “Falling Apart” and “All We Are.” The success of Some Mad Hope earned Nathanson a coveted spot as a VH1 “You Oughta Know” artist, while also resulting in appearances on such national television shows as David Letterman, Ellen, Conan O’Brien, Leno, Jimmy Kimmel, Craig Ferguson, Dancing with the Stars, Rachael Ray and The CMA Awards to name a few. Additionally, his songs have been featured in numerous film and TV programs, including Good Morning America, NCIS, Private Practice, American Idol, X Factor, Vampire Diaries, American Pie and 90210. Modern Love, his previous studio album, debuted at#17 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart and topped the iTunes Pop Chart. It featured the hit singles “Faster” and “Run” – the latter featuring Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush. Nathanson’s legendary live shows, in which he displays a chic comedic flair, have resulted in sold-out tours across the U.S., Canada and Australia.

“The result is some of the best new music Fogerty has made since, well, Creedence. His singing is strong and engaged, even scalding when he goes up against Kid Rock in ‘Born on the Bayou,’ and the current state of Fogerty’s guitar playing is summed up in his shootout with country picker Brad Paisley in ‘Hot Rod Heart’…Looking back at these songs, in this company, has brought out a fire and nerve in Fogerty. He sounds as renewed in these performances as the riffs and stories.” (Five star review) - ROLLING STONE

June 12, 2013 - JOHN FOGERTY’s new album WROTE A SONG FOR EVERYONE continues to build critical momentum, receiving one stellar review after another. The media is hailing the FOGERTY-produced album--which marks the Grammy Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee’s highest-debuting album (#3 on Billboard’s Top 200 Album chart) of his career (including Creedence Clearwater Revival releases)--as one of his finest works. Click here for what critics are saying.

A celebration of FOGERTY’s iconic songbook, the album is a collection of 14 songs: 12 classics and deep tracks (Creedence Clearwater Revival and solo material) from his remarkable canon of hits recorded in collaboration with today’s biggest superstars from the country, pop and rock worlds, plus two brand new solo songs.

FOGERTY is also receiving wide exposure in the country world via his single and video “Mystic Highway,” which is the #2 most viewed video on CMT Pure. Click here to view.

Fogerty's music is getting a wide array of radio airplay. Every song on the album was heard on-air from its very first week of availability at radio—a rarity in today’s radio paradigm. Fogerty participated in an hour long iheartradio concert which was simulcast by Q104.3 in New York City and promoted across 133 stations across the US, an unprecedented partnership. His entire release night concert in Los Angeles was simulcast by KLOS and telecast by AXS-TV. Multiple SiriusXM channels have featured interview and music content with John about Wrote a Song for Everyone. Fogerty was featured in an extended interview on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast. The single “Mystic Highway” is getting airplay across formats and has become the #1 Most Requested Song at tastemaker station KCSN in Los Angeles. Album cut “Fortunate Son” with guest artists Foo Fighters is currently up to #4 on the Classic Rock singles chart.

On the concert front, JOHN FOGERTY—one of rock’s most important artists and a national treasure who’s sold over 100 million albums--will be rockin’ all over the world in 2013 and 2014. Additional tour dates were announced including a three night stint at New York’s Beacon Theater in November. More dates to come soon. In addition, FOGERTY has two festival sit-ins with Widespread Panic and Zac Brown Band.

Los Angeles, CA (June 12, 2013) – It’s the BARENAKED LADIES’ 25th anniversary and the multi-platinum pop rock group has much to celebrate, including the arrival of new album GRINNING STREAK, which debuted at #10 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart selling 25,974 copies in its first week. The band's first Vanguard release marks their first top ten debut since 2003 and fourth top ten debut overall for the radiant Ladies, who continue to not just survive, but thrive. The album’s breakout success showcases the new single “Odds Are,” which shot to No. 2 on the iTunes Rock Songs Chart. The band recently performed on both The Today Show and Live with Kelly and Michael.

Fans can also catch the band performing the single—along with a few surprises and plethora of classic hits—during the upcoming “Last Summer On Earth Tour,” which kicks off June 17th at the Verizon Theatre in Dallas, TX, and will hit 30 arenas and amphitheaters across the country (tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com and Livenation.com and full itinerary is below). Following last year’s “Last Summer On Earth Tour,” which Rolling Stone called “one of the ten hottest summer package tours of 2012” and Entertainment Weekly spotlighted on their “2012 Summer Must List,” this year sees BNL (guitarist/vocalist Ed Robertson, bassist/vocalist Jim Creeggan, keyboardist/vocalist Kevin Hearn and drummer/vocalist Tyler Stewart) teaming with Ben Folds Five and Guster.

The songs on GRINNING STREAK unfold with the blend of immediacy, tunefulness and witty sophistication that made such BNL hits as “Pinch Me, “Brian Wilson,” “If I Had $1,000,000” and the chart-topping “One Week” modern-day classics. “Pop is a form that I love—it can be high-energy and intricate,” says Robertson of the genre the band has championed throughout the last quarter century. “When I think of pop music, I think of the Cars and Squeeze—interesting melodic rock is what I gravitate toward and what I’m always striving for. I want guitar-heavy pop/rock that’s intelligent, evocative and thought-provoking. I want it to be singable and relatable, and I want there to be other layers in there for the people who want to go deeper—because not everybody does. I’ve heard so many times, ‘I love you guys ’cause your songs are just fun and easygoing.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m glad you enjoy them, but there’s a dark underbelly that you haven’t mined.’”

Indeed, there’s much more to the Barenaked Ladies than initially meets the ear. Suck on the candy-coated surfaces of Robertson’s songs long enough and you never know what you’ll encounter in their “emotional centers,” as Robertson puts it.

He wrestled with the songs for the new album over an extended period as he plumbed the depths of his psyche in search of just those emotional centers. Along the way, Robertson experienced periods of stress, though not to the degree he’d endured while writing the material for the band’s previous studio album, 2010’s All in Good Time. That one was their first project following the departure of Steven Page, who’d founded the band with Robertson in 1988, reconfiguring the BNL as a four-piece.

“This is the second record since all of that turmoil,” Robertson notes, “but it’s still a part of what we’re going through and what informs who we are. On the last record, there were some songs that were directly about the band split, but this record is much more about the emotional rebuilding after that process. Looking back on the maelstrom of all that upheaval, I wanted to convey a sense of hope, reconciliation and healing with these songs. ‘Off His Head,’ for example, is about pushing through difficulty. There’s a double chorus at the end that I flipped, because I didn’t want it to end with, ‘Wishing you were dead.’ That’s part of being exasperated and at your wit’s end. But what I like about this song is that it says you just do it. You think it’s hopeless, but there’s a reason you’re pushing through it. The song says you can let all these things ruin you, or you can take it on the chin and stand up again.”

Don’t miss your chance to catch Barenaked Ladies live.

About Clairy Browne & the Bangin’ Rackettes:
Formed in 2009 over a mutual love of early rhythm n’ blues records and rock n’ roll, singer-songwriter Clairy Browne and her harmonizing group of rogue musicians The Bangin’ Rackettes began rehearsing in an abandoned coffin factory called “The Pound” in the suburbs of Melbourne. Together the nine-piece band has come a long way thrilling both festival and U.S. club crowds alike with their young take on old-school soul, rhythm and blues, jazz and doo-wop which plays a large part in their broad multi-generational appeal. Clairy Browne & the Bangin’ Rackettes--Clairy Browne (vocals), Camilla (vocals), Loretta Miller (vocals), Ruby Jones (vocals), Jules “Crazy Legs” Pascoe (bass guitar), Darcy McNulty (baritone sax), Gabriel Strango (Piano), Peter Bee (guitar) and Ricky Martyn (drums).

June 5, 2013 - JOHN FOGERTY’s new album WROTE A SONG FOR EVERYONE has entered the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart at #3, selling 51,319 copies in its first week. This marks the Grammy Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee’s highest-debuting album of his career, (including Creedence Clearwater Revival releases). In addition, this is Fogerty’s highest charting record since 1985's Centerfield hit #1. One of rock’s most important artists and a national treasure who’s sold over 100 million albums, FOGERTY has also announced preliminary tour dates for the fall (see dates below).

Produced by FOGERTY, WROTE A SONG FOR EVERYONE is generating widespread praise and has received Rolling Stone magazine’s highest rating--a rare 5 stars--in a lead review in the current issue: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/albumreviews/wrote-a-song-for-everyone-20130523?stop_mobi=yes

Early Critical Praise for WROTE A SONG FOR EVERYONE:

“The result is some of the best new music Fogerty has made since, well, Creedence. His singing is strong and engaged, even scalding when he goes up against Kid Rock in ‘Born on the Bayou,’ and the current state of Fogerty’s guitar playing is summed up in his shootout with country picker Brad Paisley in ‘Hot Rod Heart.’… “Looking back at these songs, in this company, has brought out a fire and nerve in Fogerty. He sounds as renewed in these performances as the riffs and stories.”
--David Fricke, ROLLING STONE June 6, 2013 (five star review)

“As the genius behind Creedence Clearwater Revival and as a solo act, John Fogerty's influence runs deep through American popular music. The breadth of his impact shows in the guest list for Wrote a Song for Everyone...Whether Fogerty's swapping vocals with Bob Seger or guitar licks with Brad Paisley, he meets his collaborators at their stylistic crossroads. Each track sounds like it could fit on one of the guest's albums as easily as Fogerty's, no small feat when country singer Miranda Lambert and Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello appear on the same song.”
--Brian Mansfield, USA TODAY, May 28, 2013

“John Fogerty is a rock and roll rarity, an artist with a distinctive singing voice as well as a distinctive writing voice. He gets to show them both off on his new Wrote a Song for Everyone (Vanguard) album, a collection of some of his best-known Creedence Clearwater Revival material reworked with some of today's biggest stars alongside some new impressive songs, especially the single ‘Mystic Highway.’ He uses a breakdown with Zac Brown Band to take ‘Bad Moon Rising’ in a different direction and grunges up ‘Fortunate Son’ with the Foo Fighters, while Jennifer Hudson takes ‘Proud Mary’ to another level.” (Grade A-)
--Glenn Gamboa, NEWSDAY.COM, May 24, 2013

"Fogerty and Foo Fighters muscle their way through the strafing guitar riffs of ‘Fortunate Son,’ he and Urban anticipate the joys of an impending weekend in ‘Almost Saturday Night.’ He meets the Zac Brown Band halfway between his own classic swamp rock and their Southern boogie groove for a bouncy revision of ‘Bad Moon Rising,’ and delves into the latent spirituality of the stately title track with Miranda Lambert, for which Fogerty delegated guitar solo duties to Rage Against the Machine/the Nightwatchman guitarist Tom Morello."
--Randy Lewis, LOS ANGELES TIMES, May 28, 2013

“…arguably the most mesmerizing collaboration on the record ‘Almost Saturday Night’…from John and Keith Urban, who truly shines on the vocal. Zac Brown Band leads a much more countrified version of ‘Bad Moon Rising,’ which could surely be a country hit in these days and times, while Miranda sounds perfectly matched for John ‘s swampy style on the title cut….this [album] should be a must for Fogerty followers.”
--Bob Paxman, COUNTRY WEEKLY, May 27, 2013

“…listening to the songs on John Fogerty's Wrote a Song For Everyone will be like reacquainting with old friends, their wisdom and vitality still exhilarating after all these years…the results rock. Highlights include a thunderous performance of ‘Fortunate Son’ featuring the Foo Fighters and Fogerty sound-alike Dave Grohl; the 1997 obscurity ‘Hot Rod Heart,’ with Brad Paisley revving up his guitar; and a rollicking ‘Proud Mary,’ reclaimed from marching band songbooks everywhere by Jennifer Hudson, Allen Toussaint and the Rebirth Brass Band. Fogerty himself remains a mighty singer, and shows he hasn't lost his knack as a songwriter either. Two new tunes fit right in, which is impressive given such distinguished company.”
--Steven Wine, ASSOCIATED PRESS, May 28, 2013

“Since the late sixties, John Fogerty, both as the leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival and as a solo artist, has put together one of the most important catalogues in rock and roll history….“Who’ll Stop the Rain?”…gets a toweringly empathetic reading from Fogerty and Bob Seger. Slowed down slightly, with backing piano by Bob Malone, the song pulls a dark lining from silver clouds, and does so beautifully.”
--Ben Greenman, NEWYORKER.COM, May 28, 2013

“Fogerty has perfectly chosen his cast of collaborators and doesn’t shy away from mixing up the arrangements. With help from a diverse coterie of peers, fans, and friends, Wrote a Song for Everyone offers fun and fresh takes on well-worn tunes. Bob Seger adds a lion in winter weariness to ‘Who’ll Stop the Rain.’ The odd couple of Miranda Lambert and Tom Morello add twang and fire to the title track. My Morning Jacket indulges its proclivity for eerie reverb on a haunting take of ‘Long as I Can See the Light.’ Kid Rock and Foo Fighters help soup up the engines of ‘Born on the Bayou’ and ‘Fortunate Son,’ respectively. And Keith Urban--in one of the album’s best marriages of singer and song--hits the sweet spot on ‘Almost Saturday Night.’ The throughline is Fogerty himself, clearly enjoying having another go at it all with a little help from his friends.”

NPR Weekend Edition featured CLAIRY BROWNE & THE BANGIN’ RACKETTES and their debut album BABY CAUGHT THE BUS just released on Vanguard Records. Listen to the full episode here: http://www.npr.org/2013/05/25/186508462/clairy-brownes-rock-n-soul-bus-rolls-to-the-u-s

Already breakout stars in their native Australia, CLAIRY BROWNE & THE BANGIN’ RACKETTES released their debut album BABY CAUGHT THE BUS last week (May 21) on Vanguard Records. The album is #1 on the iTunes R&B Albums Chart, Top 15 on the iTunes Overall Albums Chart, #2 on Amazon “Movers & Shakers” and #7 on the Amazon Overall Albums Chart. In its first week at radio, their first single “Love Letter” was the #1 Most Added at Triple A Radio with airplay at Alternative stations across America as well. Rooted in old-school R&B and soul, re-imagined for today. “What sets it apart is a dirty, electric guitar,” explains frontwoman CLAIRY BROWNE. “It’s our own sound, like a gumbo.”

Watch the official video for “Love Letter” here: http://youtu.be/irNtyaNHq5A.

Writing in the VILLAGE VOICE, Hilary Hughes says: “…love and lust-lorn brutalities break from anything you'd ever hear from Martha Reeves and the Vandelles or The Supremes or even Amy Winehouse. Yes, Baby Caught The Bus has a few sunny, swinging hits you can bop along to (the title track; ‘Frankie;’ ‘I'll Be Fine’), but the songs with teeth—‘Love Letter,’ the record's first single, ‘She Plays Up,’ ‘You Don't Owe Me Nothing’--are the ones that leave bite marks, the kind that bruise and take too long to heal. ‘I want to write what I want you to do to me in a letter’ is hell of a statement to open the record with, and that's just what Browne belts at the onset/With ‘She Plays Up,’ Browne takes to the microphone to eviscerate the other woman that's doing her best to thwart a relationship that isn't hers. ‘I don't want to lose you/to a floozy who'll use you’ she wails as a sinister bass line and creeping percussion overwhelm her, striking a chord that feels completely present in its brashness and no-bullshit mentality. The horns, handclaps and girl group vocals may be common soul staples, but this angst and the fearless desire to cast it out are entirely theirs--and it's one American audiences have been vocally fiending for since the Bangin' Rackettes officially landed.” (May 21, 2013)

Expect the group that the New York Music Daily described as “the great long-lost collaboration between David Lynch and John Waters” (April 1, 2013) to announce a late summer U.S. tour soon.

CLAIRY BROWNE & THE BANGIN’ RACKETTES and their debut album BABY CAUGHT THE BUS are gaining strong praise from the media. Check out a some of the critical reaction so far:

“Rich in harmony...”

--Scott Simon, NPR “Weekend Edition”, (May 25, 2013)

 “Big, soulful and undeniably retro…”

--Phoebee Magee, BUST (March 2013).

"In the era of Auto-Tune and prepackaged pop stars, Australian band Clairy Browne & The Bangin’ Rackettes is a refreshing dose of real, raw talent, plus showmanship skills to boot."

--Marcy Medina, WOMEN’S WEAR DAILY-WWD (May 24, 2013)

“The entire band gave us a show full of sultry ballads and clap-a-long jams. The new single ‘Love Letter’ was a highlight as was the killer encores with great sax solos by Darcy McMulty. Browne won me over with the medley of ‘The Boy Is Mine/She Plays Up to You’ which momentarily broke the 60s spell with a 90s guilty pleasure”

--Debi Del Grande, LA RECORD, (4/11/13)

“Watching this band was like discovering the great long-lost collaboration between David Lynch and John Waters.”

--Thomas Gerbasi, NEW YORK MUSIC DAILY, (April 1, 2013).

“…skillful blend of classic rhythm and blues, soulful jazz, blues and even some doo-wop vocal parts.”

--PATRIOT LEDGER, (March 28, 2013).

“Melbourne’s Clairy Brown & The Bangin’ Rackettes is the best stuff to come along in decades. The dancing part of the Bangin’ Rackettes, who also sing, rivals the Raelettes or Ikettes. The instrumental contributors seem to have gobbled up all the grits, guts and soul from every big name ‘60s soul and r&b headliner, spitting it back out with their own twisted, banging spin on it while retaining the integrity of the original practitioners. This thing opens with a bang. …Baby Caught The Bus is a treasure trove for R&B lovers, a ‘60s time capsule, a show and dance ensemble concept that’s been away far too long. Import this one to your collection immediately for maximum satisfaction.”

--Grant Britt, NO DEPRESSION, (March 20, 2013)

“Browne's powerhouse singing fuels Baby Caught the Bus, but she's only the most visible piece of this nine-piece Aussie aggregation, which contains three Bangin' Rackettes backup singers, and a five-piece backing band that includes baritone sax master Darcy McNulty, whose blatty honks chase Browne's vocals all around this eminently danceable set of grooves. …Browne makes the most of her Dusty Springfield-like alto on slow burners (‘Vicious Cycle’) 1950s-style ballads (‘Far Too Late’) and scorching 1960s soul stormers (‘Yellow Bird’). Even if all else fails, the pinpoint precision and sassy drive of ‘Love Letter’ will warm even the coldest of hearts. Put simply, Baby Caught the Bus is nothing but fun, a full-fledged party record whose reverence to its sources never gets in the way of nine people having a musical blast and sharing their joy with the rest of us.”

May 28, 2013 - JOHN FOGERTY’s video for his new single “Mystic Highway” world premieres today (Tuesday, May 28) across all CMT platforms – CMT, CMT Pure, CMT.com and CMT Mobile. The song is taken from the Grammy Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee’s much-anticipated new album WROTE A SONG FOR EVERYONE, released today on his birthday and which has received Rolling Stone magazine’s highest rating—a rare 5 stars—in a lead review in the current issue: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/albumreviews/wrote-a-song-for-everyone-20130523?stop_mobi=yes

The reflective and joyous country rocking FOGERTY composition “Mystic Highway” is one of two new songs on WROTE A SONG FOR EVERYONE.

The “Mystic Highway” video was directed by Bill Fishman, known for directing the film Tapeheads and videos for such artists as Kid Rock, The Ramones and Wilco. As FOGERTY rolls down the highway--shot in the rustic hills of Southern California--he movingly reflects on his life and journey, with archival footage and photos of him as a young man integrated throughout the video. Appearing with him and playing acoustic guitar is his son Shane Fogerty (who also performs on the track). In the liner notes for WROTE A SONG FOR EVERYONE, Fogerty says about “Mystic Highway”:

“I’ve had the idea for this song for a long, long time. I wrote this phrase into my songwriting notebook twenty or thirty years ago. In the beginning, I didn’t know how the music would go, but I sure knew what the story was. I pictured a group of travelers, perhaps an extended family, standing on the road with their faces to the sky. They’re worn, but not weary. They are in constant motion along their journey of destiny. They don’t know exactly where or how long they’ll be traveling, but they do understand that the end of the road, wherever that is, will be worth the trip.”

Watch the video here: http://www.cmt.com/videos/john-fogerty/912587/mystic-highway.jhtml

Tonight, FOGERTY--one of rock’s most important artists and a national treasure who’s sold over 100 million albums--will perform a sold-out, one-night-only album release and birthday bash concert the El Rey in Los Angeles. The intimate show, which starts at 8:30 PM Pacific time, will be filmed and broadcast live on AXS TV and also simulcast on legendary radio station KLOS (95.5fm in Los Angeles) and available to stream worldwide at www.955klos.com

In fact, radio has been embracing Wrote a Song for Everyone in a big way. In its first week of availability, every song from the 14-track album was played at radio…a feat repeated in week #2 and week #3. Last week, iheartradio hosted Fogerty for an hour long concert in New York City promoted across 133 Clear Channel stations and that Q104.3 simulcast in full—which was unprecedented. Sirius XM has featured album and interview content across channels and is promoting an extended live interview between Fogerty and renowned DJ Jim Ladd on their Classic Vinyl channel Wednesday, May 29th at 6pm PT. Fogerty is also the current guest on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast. The single “Mystic Highway” has already garnered early airplay across the country, with the song being the #1 Most Requested song at KCSN in Los Angeles.

WROTE A SONG FOR EVERYONE marks the singer, songwriter and guitarist’s ninth studio solo album since disbanding Creedence Clearwater Revival. Mixed by Bob Clearmountain, it was recorded in Los Angeles and Nashville except for "Proud Mary" which was recorded in New Orleans with Allen Toussaint and the Rebirth Brass Band. FOGERTY recorded “Fortunate Son” with Foo Fighters at their 606 studio using "the" legendary Neve recording console featured in the #1 iTunes documentary Sound City.

On the concert front, JOHN FOGERTY is set for two festival appearances. At Interlocken, the four-day event September 5 – 8 at Oak Ridge Farm at the foot of the Blue Ridge in Central Virginia, he will perform a special set with Widespread Panic featuring his classic songs from the Creedence Clearwater Revival era. He will also perform at Zac Brown Band's Southern Ground Music & Food Festival taking place in Nashville at The Lawn at Riverfront Park on September 27 and 28.

--David Fricke, ROLLING STONE June 6, 2013 (5 Star Review)

--Brian Mansfield, USATODAY May 28, 2013

"...Fogerty didn’t just re-energize these songs, he transformed many of them into something completely new..."
--Lynne Margolis, AMERICANSONGWRITER.COM, May 14, 2013

“…arguably the most mesmerizing collaboration on the record ‘Almost Saturday Night’…from John and Keith Urban, who truly shines on the vocal. Zac Brown Band leads a much more countrified version of ‘Bad Moon Rising,’ which could surely be a country hit in these days and times, while Miranda sounds perfectly matched for John ‘s swampy style on the title cut….this [album] should be a must for Fogerty followers.”
--Bob Paxman, COUNTRY WEEKLY, May 27, 2013

“The set gets off to an explosive start with “Fortunate Son,” featuring the Foo Fighters. One of the great ‘60s anti-war anthems, it raged when Creedence recorded it and it’s a natural fit for the serious horsepower Dave Grohl & Co. bring to it today… The two new, guest-free songs, “Train Of Fools” and “Mystic Highway,” aren’t out of place at all—in fact, they bode well for whatever’s next from this resilient American music icon.”
--Jeff Tamarkin, RELIX.COM, May 23, 2013

“…he sounds like he’s having the time of his life, and nearly every guest here helps add fresh blood to the tracks.”
